I currently receive ALL incoming emails on my old computer which is running Microsoft Mail on Vista but on my new computer, which is running Windows Live Mail on Windows 8, I receive only a few, but not all of my emails. Both are running on the same network.

Here are my current settings on Windows Mail, on Vista (old computer):

Severs Tab:

Server Information

Incoming mail - POP3 server

Incoming mail (POP3): pop-server.neo.rr.com

Outgoing mail (SMTP): smtp-server.neo.rr.com

Incoming Mail Server

E-mail user name: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

Password: (entered)

Remember password: (checked)

Log on using Secure Password Authentication: (unchecked)

Outgoing Mail Server

My server requires authentication: (unchecked)

Connections Tab

box unchecked

Security Tab

Certificate: (both blank)

Algorithm: (3DES)

Advanced Tab

Outgoing Mail (SMTP): (25)

Incoming Mail (POP3): (110)

All boxes unchecked

Here are the settings on Windows Live Mail - new computer, Windows 8 (per input from my internet provider):

Severs Tab:

Server Information

Incoming mail - POP3 server

Incoming mail (POP3): mail.twc.com

Outgoing mail (SMTP): mail.twc.com

Incoming Mail Server

E-mail user name: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

Password: (entered)

Remember password: (checked)

Log on using clear text authentication: (selected)

Log on using secure password authentication: (not selected)

Log on using authenticated POP (APOP): (not selected)

Outgoing Mail Server

My server requires authentication: (unchecked)

Security Tab

Certificate: (both blank)

Algorithm: (3DES)

Advanced Tab

Outgoing Mail (SMTP): (587)

This server requires a secure connection (SSL): (checked)

Incoming Mail (POP3): (110)

All other boxes unchecked

In Windows Live Mail, in the "Servers" tab, under the "Remember password" line, any other selection besides "Log on using clear text authentication" (Log on using secure password authentication: and Log on using authenticated POP (APOP):) results in failure to Send/Receive.

Thanks in advance for any help with this issue.

RK
