I want to remove WindowsXP from a perfectly functioning Pentium computer, reformat the hard drive, and re-use the system as a DOS-based games system. I have so far removed most data files, and most of the Windows system. I have an MS-DOS boot diskette to reformat, but the C:drive containing the XP operating system is not recognized. How can I get DOS to see the C:drive so I can use the FDISK command to reformat? The PartDisk commands are not working because XP is on the basic C:boot disk. I would hate to throw out a perfectly functioning, but useless machine after 8 Apr 14. Thanks.
