Posted March 13, 201410 yr Hello & Help! I have been battling with a "hijacked" laptop (win8 64) for almost a month now. "Whoever", is controlling my action center, blocking my email program and God knows what else. I contacted a windows help site (not Microsoft) that ask you to update your virus/malware programs, run them then download a couple of other scan type programs, in which I did. I've completed every thing except this program called DDS, when I double click it I get a message saying dds will not run in compatibility mode. All this program does is list "error messages" and a couple of other things. When I go to tools, the only thing in my compatibility list is Yahoo. I'm at witts end and cant really afford to take my laptop in for repair. Can someone make some suggestions that might help me? Continue reading...
