Will Microsoft Release a Patch for Windows XP that Closes All Open Ports to do with...

If Support is ending all listening connections to Microsoft should be ended as well. I don't care what kind of secure protocol is used to communicate through windows update, and what ever the other ports are used for; Microsoft should release a patch for all windows xp versions that closes the ports.

Reality: those open ports pose a risk of a hacker installing malicious software on your computer.

About a year ago there was a thread about a critical windows update that was forcibly installed on windows xp pcs regardless if they have windows update enabled. If Microsoft can do that, a hacker will be able to figure it out as well and therefore be able to install malicious code on your machine.

In summary, Microsoft created well defended open pipes to your computer and used them to transport things like nutrients. Now that Microsoft is backing off, Microsoft should close those pipes forever so that a bad person can't pour poison down those pipes if they remained open.
