I have an external hard drive. It had some problems so I ran either Windows XP or Windows 7's Explorer's check and recover routine. I have 2 computers and don't remember which I used. It put the bad sectors into files which it organized into multiple directories on the drive. So far, ok. Using Win XP, I was reviewing the files it found. My fingers stuttered and I inadvertently dragged (moved) one of the directories into another. i.e., Dir 2 is now a subdirectory of Dir 1. The Undo Move option would not work. I have tried cutting, copying, moving but cannot have access to the folder. Error says Directory is not accessible. Access is denied. I tried doing this on Win 7 and it doesn't even show the recovered directory and files exist. How do I regain access?
