OS (C:) Drive on HP Envy 17 Notebook shows only 2.44 GH of 73 GB in the C: Drive available,...

Hello,

I am visiting my wife from overseas, and was checking her family notebook that is used almost entirely by her sons, and found two problems which may or may not be related:

1. Hard drive: The OS (C:) drive on the HP notebook is almost completely full, with only 2.44 GB of the 73 GB capacity available, but when I check the (C:) drive under OS it doesn't list anywhere near 70 GB of data in the files it shows for the C: drive.

2. Updates: The notebook errors out whenever I try to install Microsoft .NET Framework updates, producing a "Code 13EC Unknown error. I checked the update logs, and .NET updates have been failing for several months, possibly because the OS C: drive is so full, but I am not sure. Below are the results I got when I used a Windows utility to try and fix the update problem. I would appreciate any suggestions, information, or questions anyone has to offer.
