I am trying to do a clean install of Windows 8 in legacy bios mode.

I have just reformated my HDD but I cannot install Windows 8 to the newly formated partition - the error message is "Windows can't be installed on this drive. The selected disk is of the GPT partition style". I have also tried deleting the partition and installing it to the unformted drive but I get the same error.

How can I format this drive so that I can install Windows 8?
