My computer running Windows 7.0 (not the computer I am typing this message from), and secured by Microsoft Security Essentials appears to have been infected with a virus/phishing program that looks exactly like MS Security Essentials. The program told me I had a virus (Trojan something) and that I should click to remove. When I did so it shut off the computer and restarted with only the rogue security program that showing. when I attempted to delete it would not do so. Even if I allow it to run temporarily it requires a credit card payment to activate. I do recall that the little MS icon in the lower right corner of the screen was green but I mistakenly clicked on the program anyway. Now computer is useless until I can get it to IT professional who will run a program on start up but needs to insert the disk in drive in order to run.

Have not seen anything similar to this in other posts. Sorry if I missed it.
