Posted February 27, 201410 yr Unfortunately, I have had to re install my operating system. When being prompted for a computer name, I entered something that was different from the previous computer name. Consequently, my backup program restored all files to a user name from the previous computer setup ( the previous computer name). Not to sure what to do here. This means that there are 2 sets of 'my documents' available. I did try to change the name back to the previous name and then restore my backup to that, but it just created a sub-directory inside of the new name. Is there a way to change the name so that it is recognised by my backup software as being where it copied the original files from? Continue reading...
