FPCH Admin AWS Posted May 2, 2013 FPCH Admin Posted May 2, 2013 I am running Windows 7 Home Premium on a 64-bit laptop. Among the software loaded on the machine is MS Word 2010. My computer is set to automatically download Windows updates which then require rebooting to fully install. The March updates have crashed my computer four times, requiring rebuilding restoration of the system each time from a point in time prior to the downloading of the updates. On the fourth rebuild, my Google Chrome browser's data files were damaged and it had to be re-installed.The downloaded files still exist on my computer. Windows repeatedly says it will shut down in 14 minutes to complete the installs. And I keep delaying the action every four hours. Can someone identify the files that I need to delete to keep my computer from crashing as it goes through another update installation reboot? View this thread Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
