Guest Eric Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 I've been banging my head on this one... I'm trying to get the roaming profiles to create automatically when the user logs in. I've followed the rights on the article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb490855.aspx Which basically states: ----------- Table 3 NTFS Permissions for Roaming Profile Parent Folder User Account Minimum permissions required Creator/Owner Full Control, Subfolders And Files Only Administrator None Security group of users needing to put data on share. List Folder/Read Data, Create Folders/Append Data - This Folder Only Everyone No Permissions Local System Full Control, This Folder, Subfolders And Files ----------------- Table 4 Share level (SMB) Permissions for Roaming Profile Share User Account Default Permissions Minimum permissions required Everyone Full Control No Permissions Security group of users needing to put data on share. N/A Full Control, ------------------------ I've checked, double checked, and triple checked the folder and the share for the correct rights. The only thing I haven't been able to set is the "local system" right on the folder which I can't seem to find on either the local server or the domain. Everytime a user logs on they get the "Cannot find the profile..." error. I can create the folder by hand and xcacls the rights to the user. But I'm tired of doing the work around. Even in the article it states that I should let the system create the folder over creating the folder manually. Can anyone provide any pointers? Thanks Quote
