FPCH Admin AWS Posted April 29, 2013 FPCH Admin Posted April 29, 2013 I have Vista and Microsoft Security Essentials. If I go to Control Panel and try to access "Change startup programs" I keep getting a message saying that Windows Defender is turned off. As I understand it MSE requires it to be turned off so how do I get rid of this annoying message which prevents me from going any further? Appparently I can bypass this by using "msconfig" but what do I need to delete so that I can use the Control Panel directly? View this thread Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
