Virus and Spyware definitions - out of date.

Full scan done on April 25, 2013 = OK, but states "Virus and Spyware definitions are

out of date". I then ran the update a few times (April 25, 2013), but it did not work and repeats statement -

out of date. ( It does state though, that "the last time the update was run was at the actual times when I did it. I shut my computer down as I was going away for 2 days.

 

Upon return today, my computer was still showing PC status: Potentially unprotected. I ran the "Update" button several times = same results. I looked again at the two lines 1. Definitions created on, and 2. Definitions last updated. #1 had

todays date showing as per the overnight "full scan". The date showing on #2 - the "definitions last updated" line however, was

May 27th and not April 27th. I checked my clock and the date was set at May. (??). I changed my P.C. clock back to April and ran a quick scan. The quick scan result showed todays date, but, the "Definitions last updated" remained at May

27th. How can I update definitions to get my P.C. protected?? Thank you.
