FPCH Admin AWS Posted April 25, 2013 FPCH Admin Posted April 25, 2013 my notebook (hand me down) is prone to temper tantrums and I've just recently recovered my OS (windows7 pro 64 bit SP1) OEM Vista - win7 H.P. x64 - Win7 Ultimate x64 - back to HmPrem - and now my current installation. Beware of relatives unintentionally giving you their headaches, ie: computers w/o product keys and scratcthed inst dsks. With this machine's history, it would be prudent to take steps to protect my computer from that dreaded 'startup repair can't automatically fix your computer'. So, I have this sense of urgency to get a viable backup for my computer. So far I've had a notoriously bad experience restoring backups from flash drives and CD-Rs etc. I seriously don't want to purchase an external hard drive and on-line storage just plain scares me. Can someone help an old man get reliable directions to the straightest route to creating a safe environment prior to creating a system image backup? Thanks and Happy Trails. < < < How quaint is that?
