I have installed a program which has hijacked the extension .asc from notepad (where it was previously associated). I have been able to re-associate it with notepad for opening but the displayed icon is still from the other program. I still need the

other program but also would like the file type to open in a text editor (the hijacking program will function without the association, at least it does on my Win7 system).Any help would be appreciated.Don
