laptop to wireless printer connectivity

I have an enclosed box truck in which I want to set up a wireless network between my laptop and a wireless printer. My laptop has internet connectivity via an aircard. Will a basic router solve my problem? There is no modem, only the laptop and the wireless

printer, in which I want to connect to wirelessly. Any help appreciated.
