FPCH Admin AWS Posted April 22, 2013 FPCH Admin Posted April 22, 2013 I have a new harddisk and have had to reinstall the operation system Windows Vista Home Premium 32BIT from 2008. After installation I updated the machine with over 130 updates from Windows Update (2008-2013 critical upates etc..). Now Windows Update tells me to install Windows Vista Service Pack 1. I follow the instructions and hit install. After 1 second I am told that Windows Vista SP1 was sucessfully installed. When refreshing Windows Update is AGAIN asking me to install SP1. Clearly it was not installed the first time even if it said so. I have tried to download the standalone version of SP1. When i try to run this, it also does not want to run! Question 1: Why am I not able to install SP1 Question 2: Do I need to install SP1 or can I just install SP2 instead? Please help:) View this thread Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
