Windows 8 (64-bit) Windows Update Fails

I have two Windows Update that will not install. They are

• Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 on Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 for x64-based Systems (KB2789649)
  
• Update for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems (KB2771431)
  

Already Done:

• Method 1: Run Windows Update troubleshooter and check if it helps. Windows Updates continues to Fail.
  
• Method 1 A: Uninstalled DotNet
  
• Method 1 B: Run dotnetfx_cleanup_tool
  
• Method 1 C: Reinstalled DotNet
  
• Method 1 D: Run netfx_setupverifier_new
  
• Method 1 E: Run NetFXRepairTool
  
• Method 1 F: Manually install KB2789649: The manual installation fails.
  
• Method 2: Manually install KB2771431: The manual installation fails.
  
• Method 3: Perform Clean Boot. Windows Updates continues to Fail.
  
• Method 4: Run a full scan using MSS (Microsoft Safety Scanner) to make sure that the Computer is virus free. Pass with green color. Windows Updates continues to Fail.
  
• Method 5: Upgrade BIOS. At the latest version provided. Windows Updates continues to Fail.
  
• Method 6: Uninstalled Anti-Virus Program. Already done that. However how do you uninstall the Windows 8 built-in Anti-Virus from Microsoft? http://www.pcworld.com/article/2027593/windows-8-put-its-hidden-security-features-to-work-.html Windows Updates
  continues to Fail.
  
• Method 7: Format SSD, Reinstalled Windows 8 from scratch. Done this 4 times. Windows Updates continues to Fail..
  
• Method 8: Run sfc /scannow: Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. Windows Updates continues to Fail.
  
• Method 9: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth Windows Updates continues to Fail.

• Method 12: Local MS MVP informed me try installing Ubuntu and run Windows 8 in Virtual Machine. Have not tried this method yet.

2. Does any other MS MVP have any clue why the KB2789649 and KB2771431 updates fail to install?
