FPCH Admin AWS Posted April 19, 2013 FPCH Admin Posted April 19, 2013 I just got hit with a virus attack that turned off Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Firewall, which made it difficult to get rid of as neither would then turn on - tricky little **** of a virus. So I ran a scan with Malwarebytes which seems to have caught the virus (it found & deleted 10 infections - although I ever copied the names which might have been helpful) and I then uninstalled/reinstalled Microsoft Security Essentialls which now seems to be working. The problem now is that when I open up Security Centre and try to turn on the Firewall I get an error message saying "Due to an unidentified problem Windows cannot display Firewall Settings." How does I fix this and get Firewall turned back on? View this thread Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
