MSE Won't Let me Download Files

If I have real-time protection checked in MSE, it becomes nearly impossible to download files. It wouldn't even let me download the Apple Quicktime installation file from Apple. Downloads just refuse to start.My only solution is to uncheck real-time protection, but I'd rather not do that. Any other options?ThanksRyan
