I have received the 800B0100 error several times during automatic updates, apparently for KB2604115, KB2729452, KB2742599, and KB2604115 (the update history doesn't seem to say which error was generated by which update, but all of these updates failed).I tried all of the recommendations from help several times, including the System Update Readiness Tool and Fixit.I am using a brand new computer, with Windows 7 Professional SP1, 64-bit. The first or second time I turned it on, it installed about 171 updates.THE ANSWER IS NOT TO REINSTALL WINDOWS, BECAUSE I JUST INSTALLED IT FOR THE FIRST TIME, SO THERE IS NO REASON TO BELIEVE THAT I WOULD HAVE A DIFFERENT RESULT THIS TIME. I didn't do anything strange to the computer, or install anything unusual (mostly Microsoft

Office and a few other standard programs).I saw that many people have had these same errors, and not gotten satisfactory answers in this forum (mostly it comes down to trying the tools I mentioned above that don't work, and reinstalling Windows or something similarly drastic). It seems to me that

the problem is more with the updates than with our systems. Again, my computer is brand new, and these I received both of these errors on the first or second set of automatic updates, before I could have done anything out of the ordinary to mess things up.
