FPCH Admin AWS Posted April 14, 2013 FPCH Admin Posted April 14, 2013 After installing windows XP pro updates on 9th April 2013 (or there abouts) my computer now takes about 35 minutes to boot up (was about 5 mins before). During this time the CPU is only working between 0% - 1%. After about 35 mins the CPU starts working as normal. When i use system restore to go back to 8th April 2013 (ie before the updates) the boot up time goes back to normal. Boot up time is also normal when i boot up in safe mode. I have checked for viruses etc using security essentials and malwarebytes and my system is clean. I have also performed chkdsk /r. How can i fix this?
