FPCH Admin AWS Posted April 14, 2013 FPCH Admin Posted April 14, 2013 I am trying to install the Windows 7 64 Bit Service Pack 1, and keep getting derailed by en error code 0x80073701, which appears to be related to a missing assembly, Update KB2698365 (according to the CBS log). I cannot install the missing update KB2698365 via either Windows Update, or by using a manual installation process. No specific reason is given for the failure. Have tried the System Update Readiness tool (64 Bit), and running things like sfc /scannow and the "Fixit" tool. No luck. Also tried an "in place" upgrade of the OS, which requires Service Pack 1 to run from the DVD, so this became circular. Any advice? View this thread Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
