Posted April 12, 201311 yr FPCH Admin IE 10 does not start when I click on the IE icon. Therefore tried following steps: a) Checked for "Windows update" for IE 10 found 1 update (about 42MB) ). Tried installing it but it failed giving following error: "Code 9C48 Windows update encountered an unknown error. b) Since (a) also failed I tried "Get help with this error" and tried Windows automatic troubleshooting tool. It fixed some errors. However, when I again tried to install Windows update for IE 10, it again I got the same problem as mentioned in (a) above. Please advise the next steps.
