Windows 8 Updates Failing

Brand new build, brand new Windows 8 install. NOT AN UPGRADE.

 

Windows 8 Update fails to work. There are several of the problematic Windows 8 upgrades that refuse to install.

 

We have tried all of the solutions we can find here and on other forums. Clean boot, Windows Update Troubleshooter, and NO it is not the NPL service. This is a clean install and there are literally no 3rd party services running on the machine at the

moment.

 

Please need to get some help with this before I just format the darn drive and put an o/s on this machine that I know works (e.g. Windows 7)

 

It is really bad to see all of the issues with something that should be a simple, 10 minute job e.g. bring the machine up to the latest version of the OS!
