Logging In to Free PC Help Forum Has Changed

If I do not want an update, how can I get windows update to stop telling me about it?

I do not want explorer 10 (use Firefox), and I de-selected the windows update item that would have given me ie10, but update keeps telling me that it has NEW UPDATES and it is only IE10. I want to get rid of that item and can not see how to go about it.
