security_cleaner.exe is not commonly downloaded and could harm your computer

When I tried to open a web page, an MSE alert came up on IE saying there were potential threats (Trojan, Hack Tool and Adware) and that I needed to clean my computer. When I clicked on “Clean computer,” a message came up saying

“security_cleaner.exe is not commonly downloaded and could harm your computer,” with the options of “Delete,” “Actions,” and “View downloads.” What course of action should I take to deal with the alert?
