FPCH Admin AWS Posted April 5, 2013 FPCH Admin Posted April 5, 2013 I have a Dell Studio 15 Running Win 7 Pro. The drive is a 500GB ATA. Yesterday I received this message, (error 0253 EFI variable block data destroyed.) After running diagnostics, I got another error, 0146. I chatted with a Dell tech and he said my hard drive was fried! However, the computer, with a couple of exceptions, seems to run normal. I ran Chkdsk/F and found no errors!! The 2 exceptions are F8 will not take me to safe mode and all my restores are missing. Does anyone have any ideas on this puzzle? View the thread Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
