FPCH Admin AWS Posted April 6, 2013 FPCH Admin Posted April 6, 2013 I have this brand new windows 7 computer I built and for some reason it takes 10 minutes for my update center to load or it crashes. It worked at first but at some point i noticed it had started this problem, Although I simply let it be because everything else ran right and I didn't have the want to deal with it. Recently I bought a game that tries to install the .net framework but it won't work and I read on a forum that if windows isn't up to date it can cause problems. So in short i need this fixed so I can play my game and so I can know if I'm updated or not. Like i said it did start once but it shows me a read shield that says check for updates now but when i press the button under it to check it tells me "Windows Update cannot currently check for updates, because the service in not running. You may need to restart your computer." but ii have shut down and restarted my PC many times between the first time I've encountered this problem and now. If someone could figure this out that would be great. View this thread Quote Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
