FPCH Admin AWS Posted April 5, 2013 FPCH Admin Posted April 5, 2013 I have found Excel 2013 (32-bit) to be completely unusable running on Windows 8 (HP Core i7, 8GB ENVY dv7). A 296MB spreadsheet which I can work on without issues using Win 7 (Excel 2010 64-bit) consistently crashes when I try to scroll from the top of the spreadsheet to the bottom. In addition, Win8 print drivers are woefully inadequate - the generic driver for a Xerox Color Phaser printer will not permit selecting the bypass tray PostScript drivers for the same printer appear to install OK but then crash, complaining about insufficient memory. In short, Win8 and Office 2013 are disasters. I will not be putting them on any other computers. Microsoft has outdone itself with these buggy and unstable releases.
