Posted April 5, 201311 yr FPCH Admin Hi I am using Windows 7 64bit. I have no service pack as Windows will not update. Through reading I believe this is due to the following problem (BITS is missing). Since a malware attack I have found BITS (Background Intelligent Transfer Service) missing from my list of Services. On advice from many forums I have tried reinstalling it by entering the following command into cmd.exe sc create BITS binpath= "c:windowssystem32svchost.exe -k netsvcs" start= delayed-auto However I get the response message: [sC CreateService Failed 5: Access is denied. I am opening cmd.exe with "Run as Administrator". I have also ensured the administrator has "full control" under the security permission within properties. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
