sounds disappear and return at random

i have built in speakers in my computer,with no plug in leads to check.my sound disappears at random,both computer sounds and downloaded saved music.also will not play sounds sent in emails.sometimes all sound will come back for a day or two,before disappearing

again..sometimes i get a message telling me a speaker jack is unplugged. (how,if my speakers are built into the computer?) this message often appears just before my sound returns,but not always..(my computer is the type which has everything built in,with hard

drive,etc.behind screen,and speakers built in below screen-all in one with choice of touch screen if wanted )
