Office 2013 KMS - 5 installations for KMS to start activating?

Hi everyone,

I have installed office 2013 KMS onto one of our 2012 servers and verified it is installed correctly with

cscript slmgr.vbs /dlv all . I have opened up the firewall for it and the server can be seen on the domain.

Is it true that our KMShost will not begin issuing activations until 5 clients have contacted the KMShost to request activation? I have only installed two office 2013's and am using the volume license keys from: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj219430.aspx

, but they refuse to activate.

Should i use our office standard license on these machines until i get 5? Or continue to deploy using the volume license and when i hit 5-6 machines, they should all active properly?
