Please help!

 

I have tried everything listed on this site but I havent managed to fix the problem.

Yes, I've checked my LAN settings are on auto detect and I've even gone as far as uninstalling/reinstalling Norton 360 just incase that was the problem.

 

Even with Norton turned off it doesn't update so i have no idea what the problem is.

 

A friend of mine told me to, run “Ping download.microsoft.com” and i get this reply "Ping request could not find host download.microsoft.com. Please check the name and try again."

 

There seems to be something blocking traffic but i can use the internet without any problems.

 

Please help this has been dragging on for 3 months.
