Question to KB2791765

Hello,

The description to https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2791765 says the following:

Applications or devices that experience a change in behavior after you install this update

The following table lists the applications and devices that were included in this cumulative update package. This table also describes the behavior of these applications and devices after you install the update.

Then some examples of compatibility updates triggers are listed, like hard block, soft block etc.

So the question is, does this update only affect the software listed in the table or are the triggers generally applied? I try to avoid that some older applications stop working suddenly after applying this update. These applications are not listed in the table

mentioned.
