Posted March 2, 201311 yr FPCH Admin I am running win7, 64 bit version. I cannot download/install service pack 1. When I use auto windows update, all the other upgrades will install except for the service pack. When I first attempted to install, a box would state that 53% of 87.2 mb had downloaded and when it would just start to try to install, an error message would pop-up, stating it didn't install (error # 80004005). I ran the microsoft self fix and also troubershooting programs and now 99% of service pack will download and attempt to install, again without success. I have downloaded entire service pack onto my desktop and it also will not completely install, it looks like its going too but doesn't, same error code appears (80004005). I used microsoft's chat and was directed to use same troubershooting programs that I have already used without success. I read on a Forum yesterday something about too many network pipelines (max of 14, default # 8), I went into registery and mine has 14, kept it that way and afterwards changed it to 8 but either way it didn't work.Microsoft wants $99 to attempt to fix, my friend is having the exact same problem so it's not just something in my computer having a conflict. One thing I didn't understand when performing registry check to see if pipelines were no higher than 14 is the person who wrote post in Forum mentioned after checking for up to 14, click Decima I option and click ok, didn't understand how to do. I would appreciate any info from anyone that can help, I have no idea where to go from here... Thanks View this thread Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
