Posted March 2, 201311 yr FPCH Admin This all seem to start happening to me after doing a windows update. asus mb 12g memory nvidia video card had gtx250 and upgraded to gtx 650 TI corsair H60 water cooler 850w power supply no heat issues as I have run monitors and everything is in the green I dont overclock I keep my machine clean, and it room tempt is cool all my devices an motherboard have latest drivers I have not done microsoft updates becuase of so many past issues that I have had as it seems to always cause problems. Because there was a reason that I was kinda forced to do the updates, the same day I started getting that display error with my gtx250 card. I thought my card was going bad since it was a couple years old and replaced it with a gtx 650 TI and I continued to get that error. Usually if i dont move the mouse for awhile or scroll anything on a screen it will just set there, but if i move something i get the error. I have done a complete re-install an even without the updates I continue to get this error message. I have talked to some local computer business and some good computer friends and they have started getting this same issue. Most of them that I talk to run win7 x64, and most of them started having this problem after windows 8 was released and after they had done a update for the system. To remove more doubt, I have loaded a couple of other operating systems and booted from them and I have not seen the problem. I will admit that I didnt run these others for more then a couple hours, but i never had an error. This would seem to show that my hardware is good and the problem is with an update that microsoft has released. I run win7 x64 for a long time and never had this problem untill the end of last year and now it is like having malware from microsoft. thank you for any additional ideas to resolve this issue without having to turn everything off so it will work.
