Someone answered my first query but I can't find the answer on this site and unfortunately lost the response. The MS kb says by using Method 1, the file powercfg.exe gets copied from the Default User profile to the current

user profile. I assume that Default User profile refers to C:Documents &amp SettingsDefault User folder. I searched and the file doesn't exist in any Default User folder. Copies of the file do exist in these root directory folders: Windowssystem32 and WindowsServicePackFilesi386

and WindowsSoftwareDistributionDowload(followed by a very long string of alpha/numeric characters. I'd like to copy powercfg.exe from one of these folders and paste it in the relevant Default User folder then try the MS kb method 1 again. Can anyone identify

the mystery folder that should contain the file within the Default User folder?
