Posted February 22, 201311 yr FPCH Admin I am trying to install MS Security Essentials on a new PC. I downloaded the file from a MS website. It downloaded fine. When I clicked on the .exe file it asked if I wanted to allow the program to make changes. I clicked yes. It began and right away brought up alert box that said "File corrupt".After reading the MS technical forum I did the following:uninstalled McAfee using the control panel uninstall featureI got the same resultThen I downloaded and ran a cleanup tool for McAfeeI got the same resultI cannot get past the "File corrupt" alert box. Please inform me on how to proceed. Thanks,Linda View this thread Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
