I am able to print to HP LaserJet 2200 printer using an HP PC running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit (this PC was purchased 9-2010) however with a new Dell PC running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit I can't print to the HP 2200 printer. It is a standalone non-networked

PC with 16 gig RAM, i7 CPU, with USB cable to the printer. I have no problem with my 10 year old HP DeskJet 5550 printer printing from the new Dell PC but the 11 year old HP 2200 printer can't respond to the Dell PC. I have tried changing the USB to different

outlets, deleteting the driver, rebooting, reinstalling the driver, (after first unplugging the printer and its USB cable). The driver installs becuase the computer searches for it when I plug in he USB cable, but when I attempt to print the printer icon in

the tray at the bottom of the monitor shows up and says "zero documents pending for my PC". I have tried changing various settings in the printer properties dialogue box tried to see if spooling settings needed to be changed (they didn't), tried to change

networking to allow discovery of public networks, tried to download and install the PCL5 and PCL6 drivers from HP's website, and even tried to run the driver in compatability mode to XP in the hopes that would work.

The driver keeps picking DOT4-001 as the port on the Dell PC which worked fine on the HP PC. I'm surprised the 9 year old printer would pick a USB port and the 11 year old 2200 printer would want a DOT port. The old HP PC also was a standalone PC with a

USB connection to printer. Both PC's have factory installed operating systems.
