I would like to de-activate a copy of Windows 7. One of my laptops was stolen, but I still have the discs, which I would like to sell. The stolen system was 32-bit and all of my other computers are 64-bit, so the disc is of no use anymore to me.

Before I sell it, I would like to DE-activate the copy so that there is no run around for the new owner.

I see lots of advice on here about the activation process, but nothing about DE-activating a copy. It looks like I would have to phone the Activation Support Center, but their number only seems to be available when you are using a copy of Windows that

is not yet activated. How do I find out this phone number if my other computers all have active copies of Windows? (ie. I cannot use the slui.exe solution, for example, because it just tells me my copy is active and genuine).

Any ideas?

Thanks!
