Posted February 15, 201311 yr FPCH Admin Just recently got myself a Microsoft Surface Pro (128 GB), enjoying it as a replacement to my laptop, but while carrying out some first time setup like I do on fresh installation of Windows, I bumped into an unusual situation I can't perform a full system image backup of my Surface Pro. The error occurred in the middle of a backup process and it stated the following: Check your backup Windows Backup skipped backing up system image because one of the critical volumes is not having enough free space. Free up some space by deleting unnecessary files and try again. Funny thing is, I'm backing up to a 1.5 TB external HDD that is more than enough to hold 128 GB of data. Did some googling and found that it has something to do with the SOURCE partitions not being big enough to store some volume shadow copy files during the backup. Any suggestions on the best way to fix this? View the full article Off Topic Forum - Unlike the Rest
