windows vista and problem 81000378

I have just got a new laptop and it has windows vista on it! i have

downloaded msn messenger from the website and it is the latest one! i try

signing in and it comes up with the error message of 81000378 and says that

my contact list is not ready, try again later. on my normal computer my msn

works! i have tried everything - changing date and time, firewall settings,

even doing this search for cmd and lots of other things like that! im not

sure what it is! but i no msn is not having difficulties because it works on

the other pc. can anyone help?

ooo by the way im really new to this site but i think i got it right, so

sorry if i have put it in the wrong group and i really hope all the groups

are english!
