Hi

Been testing out Windows 8 RTM within our environment - and I've come across a frustrating problem I can't create a Microsoft account for a specific e-mail address in Windows 8.

If I try create the account in Windows 8 - it takes me all the way through the steps, including captcha verification but then tells me that the e-mail address is already a Microsoft Account.

If I try reset the password I'm told the e-mail address is not a Microsoft account.

I've searched everywhere and so far the only answer I've found is that support for Microsoft Accounts is provided through the Microsoft Answers forum - which is completely unacceptable - MS requires us to use MS accounts for every MS site - VLSC, TechNet,

MSDN, Partner Program, eAgreements - and now I'm told support for Microsoft Accounts is through some understaffed community support forum!

I created a post in the answers forum 9 days ago - and have not had a single response to it. How are we supposed to use Microsoft Accounts if, when there is a problem, there is no official support channel.

I'm now posting in the Windows 8 General forum because this problem is directly related to creating an account for use with Windows 8!

If anyone else has had the same problem and managed to resolve it, please let me know how.

If a MSFT person reads this - hopefully you can provide some guidance to resolve this because the answers forum certainly has not!

AJ
