Posted January 29, 201311 yr FPCH Admin I have a newly rebuilt server that is running windows Server 2003 R2 x64 and when I try to run Windows Update I get the following errors in the log: 2013-01-29 09:00:19-0800 2344 4d4 Failed to download the Redirector cab on try 2: 0x801901942013-01-29 09:00:19-0800 2344 4d4 Checking for different Redirector at: http://update.microsoft.com/ws03sp1/windowsupdate/redir/wuredir.cab2013-01-29 09:00:19-0800 2344 4d4 WinInet: Server file is not newer. Skipping download.2013-01-29 09:00:19-0800 2344 4d4 Successfully refreshed Redirector cab.2013-01-29 09:00:19-0800 2344 4d4 WinInet: Server file is not newer. Skipping download.2013-01-29 09:00:19-0800 2344 4d4 DownloadFileInternal failed for http://download.windowsupdate.com/v9/1/windowsupdate/b/SelfUpdate/AU/x64/SKIP/en/wusetup.cab: error 0x801901942013-01-29 09:00:19-0800 2344 4d4 CheckIfClientUpdateNeeded failed: error 0x80190194 Apparently it is trying to update the windows update software and failing.
