Posted January 25, 201311 yr FPCH Admin I am tring to update Windows 7 Home Premium. I built a computer with an AMD A10 chip, GA F2A85X-UP4 motherboard w/16Gb Ram, and a 128Gb SSD. Per the mobo manual, I installed the OS first, then the driver disk. When attempting to do updates to Win7, it hangs, whether trying to do it manual or automatic. On occassion, I can install some updates manually, but not often. I've tried the fix it utility, but it doesn't seem to do much, except to say the Windows Update database is fixed.
