Posted January 22, 201311 yr FPCH Admin HELP Please. I have Vista Home Premium SP2. I am trying to install the "Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows Server 2008 x86 (KB2742597)". I have tried every technical solution posted in the Knowledge Base, including the complete deletion and reinstallation of .NET, I've tried: "Method 1: Fix MSI software update registration corruption issues". "Method 2: Repair the .NET Framework" which includes the ".NET Framework Cleanup Tool" aka "dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip". "System Update Readiness Tool for Windows Vista (KB947821) [November 2012]" I've even tried every suggestion from the first 15 pages of this community post. I am able to install every update that comes across except this one. Biggest question is, if I have all the latest .NET, do I really need this? If so, any other suggestions for me to try?
