I had a call from a man supposedly representing Microsoft telling me that they had been receiving feedback reports from my pc that there was a Trojan virus. He asked me to open my pc and look for yellow warning signs. As my pc has been rather slow lately

I did open the pc but stopped at the point where permission to access the management of my computer was requested. The bells started to ring at this point. He knew my name and address and telephone number so he sounded very convincing. I rang off at this

point. My question is, can he have gained access to my pc or passwords etc. what action should I take to safeguard myself and is there someone monitoring this activity? Thanks
