I have tried resetting windows update (every way possible), i have tried everything that people have posted about these problems in every forum you can imagine, nothing has worked! ALSO WIndows update hangs on (checking for updates) ALSO there is an update attempting to install if i shut down the computer there is a windows update symble on the shutdown button, i dont know if this is related. This computer was off for 6 months, so was missing all updates since July. Everything started to go haywire when i attempted to use windows update to check for updates.
