Windows XP Home Installation Problem With Windows 7 Starter

I was told I would have no problem installing Windows XP Home Edition on a new computer that came pre loaded with Windows 7 Starter.

 

When I load the CD with Windows XP I get the following:

 

Run setup.exe

 

I click on Install Windows XP

 

Program is blocked due to compatibility issues.

 

Setup cannot continue because version on computer is newer than version on CD.

 

Does anyone know how to resolve this problem and install Windows XP?
